RiojasRentals LLC ("Company," "we," "our," or "us") operates RioEventHive, a private event hub service at rioeventhive.com.RioEventHive is a service of RiojasRentals LLC. Company-wide privacy practices are published at riojasrentalsllc.com (Privacy Policy, Terms of Service). This supplement explains how we handle information on RioEventHive, including our SMS and text messaging program for optional event-related notifications.

2. Information We Collect

We may collect the following types of information:

Account & event data: Name, email, event details (date, venue, etc.), and preferences you provide when creating an event.
RSVP data: Names, emails, guest counts, and optional messages from guests who RSVP to your event.
Photos: Images you or your guests upload to event pages.
Mobile phone numbers: You may optionally provide a phone number when you RSVP so your host can reach you. A phone number is not required to complete an RSVP. SMS messages require a separate opt-in checkbox; we do not text numbers that have not opted in.
Payment data: Payment for event packages is processed by Stripe. We do not store your full card number; Stripe handles payment data in accordance with their privacy policy.
Technical data: IP address, browser type, and usage information to operate and improve our services.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information to:

Provide, maintain, and improve our event hub services
Send transactional emails (receipts, event links, RSVP notifications, weekly summaries)
Deliver SMS/text messages you have agreed to receive for a particular event (reminders and host updates only)
Deliver post-event summaries (e.g., guest list and photos) to event hosts
Respond to your inquiries and support requests
Comply with applicable law and protect our rights

4. Sharing of Information — We Do Not Sell Your Data

We do not sell your personal information. We do not sell or share your personal information — including mobile phone numbers — with third parties for their marketing or promotional purposes.

We may share data with service providers (e.g., hosting, email, payment processing via Stripe, SMS delivery via Twilio) only as necessary to operate our services. Twilio delivers SMS messages on our behalf; they do not use your phone number for their own marketing. Event hosts see RSVP and photo data for their events only. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights and safety.

5. SMS Privacy Statement

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.

Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties, except as necessary to provide messaging services.

Mobile phone numbers collected for SMS notifications are used solely for event-related communications requested by the user.

SMS opt-in is available on each event's public RSVP form (example: rioeventhive.com/e/clarissa-s-graduation#rsvp). Full SMS terms are in our company Privacy Policy.

6. SMS and Text Messaging

RiojasRentals LLC operates RioEventHive and runs a text messaging program called RiojasRentals LLC Event Notifications. It is separate from email and is used only for event-related communication—not for advertising or promotional blasts.

How opt-in works. RSVP is complete with name and email only — no phone number or SMS consent is required. Guests may optionally provide a phone number so the host can reach them. If they want text updates, they must separately check an optional, unchecked SMS consent box labeled "Yes, I agree to receive SMS event notifications from RiojasRentals LLC." (and provide a mobile number). Messages are sent by RiojasRentals LLC. We never send SMS to numbers that have not opted in, and we do not allow hosts to upload phone lists for unsolicited texts.

What we send. Texts are limited to the event you opted into—for example, a reminder or an update from the host after you RSVP. We do not use this program to send cold invitations, marketing, or unrelated messages.

How often. The number of messages depends on the event and your participation, but generally stays low and tied to that event's timeline.

Your choices. Standard message and data rates from your carrier may apply. You can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message. Reply HELP for assistance, or write to riorgvrentals@gmail.com.

7. Data Retention

We retain your event and RSVP data — including opt-in phone numbers — for as long as your event is active and as needed for post-event summaries and legal obligations. You may request deletion of your data by contacting us.

8. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or port your data, or to object to or restrict certain processing. Contact us at riorgvrentals@gmail.com to exercise these rights.

10. Children

Our services are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

11. Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated policy on this page and update the "Last updated" date. The company-wide policy at riojasrentalsllc.com may also be updated separately.
